

Experienced in income tax planning, preparation and compliance analysis, Michelle practices primarily in the areas of Taxation and Wills, Trust, Estate Planning and Probate Law. She prepares income, estate, gift, and fiduciary tax returns, charitable entity tax returns and retirement plan returns. Michelle is past chair of the Federal Taxation Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association and an active member of the Tax Committee of the Iowa Society of CPAs.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy in Taxation. She was awarded her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2002. She was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2002 and the Illinois Bar in 2004. Michelle received her C.P.A. distinction in 2005.
She is a Certified Public Accountant and an attorney admitted to practice in Illinois, Iowa, the United States Tax Court, the United States District Courts for the Central District of Illinois and Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
A published author, Michelle has contributed an article to IICLE (Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education) entitled "Limited Liability Companies and S Corporations, Ch. 10 'Tax Issues,'" several ISBA (Illinois State Bar Association) federal taxation newsletters, and an article for the ABA Tax Lawyer entitled "Important Developments During the Year: Business Cooperatives and Agriculture." Her presentations include serving as a moderator and speaker at the Illinois State Bar Association Federal Tax Conference, speaking on "Estate, Gift and Generation Skipping Update."
